Enthronement of Yangsi Gyana Ta Rinpoche
Enthronement of Yangsi Gyana Ta Rinpoche
Dear Dharma Friends,
We welcome you to join us for the enthronement of H.H. Kyabje Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche’s reincarnation, Yangsi Gyana Ta Rinpoche, Jigme Pema Osel, at Kunzang Gatshal on Sunday, September 8th, 2024. The event will be led by Dungse Garab Rinpoche and close disciples of Thinley Norbu Rinpoche. The Khandro Thukthik enthronement ceremony will be followed by offerings of dance and song.
Gyana Ta Rinpoche was born on January 7th, 2013, to Dungse Garab Rinpoche and Khandro Rinchen Paldon. In 2015, he was recognized by H.H. Dodrupchen Rinpoche IV, Thupten Thinley Pal Zangpo, as the reincarnation of Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche.
Gyana Ta Rinpoche’s visit to Kunzang Gatshal comes upon the gracious invitation of the late Thinley Norbu Rinpoche’s devoted disciples. We cordially invite students of Thinley Norbu Rinpoche, those who have met or received teachings from him, followers of the Dudjom tradition, and all our Dharma friends and family to Kunzang Gatshal, Always Noble Joyful Park for this public event.

Attire
Please wear appropriate attire. Dharma robes, shamtab, drangju, zen, chuba, khira, goh, white button up shirt, dress pants, blazer, or other formal clothing as appropriate for this occasion. The weather in upstate New York is unpredictable, and the temperature is quite cold in the mornings and evenings, so we recommend wearing a base layer, dressing in layers, and wearing a warm jacket as the temple is not heated. We anticipate the temperature to be around 50°f / 10°c the first week of September. Please note that the temperature in Delhi, NY is about 10°f colder than NYC.
